Southwark News Update

Good afternoon, everyone.

COMIC RELIEF FUNDRAISING
I am delighted to inform you that Southwark raised £408.83 which has been donated to Comic Relief to help support people to live free from poverty, violence and discrimination. Thank you for your generosity!

ATTENDANCE
Our attendance as a school is not where we need it to be. We are currently sitting at 93.3% overall attendance. We need this to be above 96%. It is vital that all children are in school everyday. We understand that there are some occasions where a child will be too unwell to come into school. However, please make sure that you are only keeping your child off school in exceptional circumstances which are unavoidable. Please make sure that holidays are booked in school holidays and appointments are booked in out of school time if possible.

LATENESS
I am please to say that the number of children arriving late at school has significantly reduced. Thank you to everyone who has made efforts to improve this. Being late at school means that children miss out on vital learning time. It also can affect their social and emotional health and doesn't prepare them for their next stage of education at secondary school where positive habits towards punctuality are vital.

PARKING & BEING RESPECTFUL OF LOCAL RESIDENTS
Please can I remind everyone to park respectfully around the local area both before and after school. Please adhere to road markings and not park in front of dipped kerbs. Thank you.
