PE and Sport Premium
The government is continuing to provide additional funding to improve the provision of Physical Education and sport in primary schools. This funding is provided jointly by the Department for Education (DfE), Health & Culture, and Media & Sport and is ring-fenced and therefore can only be spent on improving and developing the PE and Sport provision here at Southwark.
Guidance from the DfE states that the purpose of the premium is for schools to use the funding to make additional and sustainable improvements to the quality of PE and sport offered.

At Southwark Primary School, we are extremely proud of the PE & sporting provision we offer our pupils. The impact report below measures the success of the PE Premium spending for year 2019 – 2020. The objectives have been colour-coded Red/Amber/Green according to the level of success.
The PE Premium spending action plan below outlines of our priorities to further develop PE provision as well as raise achievement and participation levels for all pupils in sport in 2020 – 2021.
