Attendance Matters!

Welcome back! I hope you all had a wonderful half term and are ready for another busy term ahead of us with lots of exciting things to look forward to!

A few reminders in terms of attendance...
We know children who attend regularly are more likely to reach their full potential in school and have stronger friendship groups. However, we understand on occasion your child may be too poorly to attend school.

If your child is absent from school...

  • Contact the school 0115 915 0466 to let us know the reason for absence. If it is before 7:30am please leave a message letting us know your child's name, class and brief reason for absence.
  • If unable to call, you can contact Miss Westmorland on DOJO.
  • Please keep us up to date and notify us each day your child is absent.

Sometimes it is difficult to know what to do for the best when keeping your child off school. This link shows clear guidance that may help.

Finally, we will continue to keep you updated about your child's attendance through regular updates, letters and meetings. If you have any concerns or wish to discuss your child's attendance please do not hesitate to get in touch, we want to support our families where we can.

Thank you
