This half term, Year 1 have been learning all about the Enchanted Woodland. As Scientists, they have learnt about trees, seasons, and the animals that you might find in our local woods. They even had a visit from Mr Fox and if they're lucky they may get to meet him again this week!

Year 2 Curriculum News - posted 13th Oct

This half term, Year 2 became Geographers and have been learning all about 'Bright Lights, Big City', a topic all about London, the capital city of England. They had a tea party with 'The Queen', learnt lots about where London is and the 4 countries that make up the UK, learnt about the Great Fire of London as well as designing and making their own Taxis in Design & Technology!

Year 3 have produced some wonderful written work all based on their project 'Rocks, Relics and Rumbles'. As scientists and geographers, they have learnt about he layers of all the earth, types of soil and rocks as well as learning about natural disasters.

Year 4 have had a busy half term becoming historians and learning about their project 'I am Warrior'. They had a visit from a Roman Soldier, made 'Peasant Vegetable Soup' and also created mod-rock sculptures of Boudicca.

Year 5 Curriculum News - posted 13th Oct

Year 5 have had a rollercoaster time becoming scientists learning about their project 'Scream Machine'. They visited a theme park, used maps in Geography to locate parks around the world, learnt about forces in Science and then designed and constructed  cam toys using saws, glue guns and drills in Design & Technology!

Year 6 Curriculum News - posted 13th Oct

Our Year 6 children have been historians, scientists and geographers this half term learning all about Charles Darwin in their project 'Darwin's Delights'. They have mapped his journey, explored his discoveries and learnt about evolution and inheritance as well as indigenous species. At the end of the project hey have presented what they have learnt.
