DIVERSITY ASSEMBLY: DISABILITY AWARENESS

This week in our assemblies, we are discussing the topic of disability awareness. We are talking about what it means to have a disability and how this is a 'protected characteristic' under the Equality Act 2010.

In the assemblies, we are learning about the importance of treating everyone fairly and ensuring that we show care, respect and empathy towards others who may have a disability.

We will learn about 3 fantastic children who have different disabilities and discuss how this affects their everyday lives and how they overcome the challenges they face!
