NSPCC Number Day 2021

What a great day we had on Friday celebrating NSPCC Number Day!

Children and teachers were encouraged to dress up as their TTRS avatar or a number! The children had a fun filled number day in school taking part in lots of maths inspired activities.

As part of the day, Times Tables Rock Stars ran a competition nationwide for schools - 'NSPCC Rocks'. Children were challenged to get as many correct answers as possible in one day. Hundreds of schools and thousands of classes took part in the UK - overall, Southwark finished 50th! An incredible achievement!

The pictures above show the winning classes at Southwark and also the children who earned the most coins on Friday. A remarkable effort from 5 Byron, who came 30th in the whole country. A special shout out to Lawrence in Year 2 as well - only 4 children beat him in the rest of our school. A real star of the future!

It is so important children regularly practice their times tables and TTRS is the ideal way to do this at home and in school. Contact your child's class teacher for more details if needed.

Well done to everyone who took part!
