Library Back Open

THE LIBRARY IS BACK OPEN!

From this week, all children, from Nursery up to Year 6, are welcome to visit the library in these slots:

Mondays after school

Thursdays after school

We have a huge selection of books suitable for different age groups and pitched for a whole range of interests! Children are free to loan 2 books at a time but we ask two things:

1. All books are returned within 3 weeks – unfortunately, we will need to charge for any lost or damaged books.
2. If the library is busy, please could parents/carers not enter the library to allow more room for children. Instead, please stand in the area outside and watch your child from outside the window wall. Our librarians will help to supervise with you.

Many of you will remember that you, the families of Southwark, helped to fund the new library and its books when it was opened a couple of years ago – just before the pandemic hit. We hope that the year ahead looks a little smoother, and we will be able to keep the library fully operational and add lots of new titles over the coming months!

We don’t want crowds so you may want to plan to visit on Thursday rather than this afternoon! If your child is in After School Club, they will get the chance to visit with the ASC staff from next week.

Thank you for your support.
