Parent & Carer Guide | Latest News | Waste Week
Do you have unwanted electrical and tech items are home that you don’t know what to do with?
This year’s Waste Week activity from the Pod is on the theme of tech and electrical waste and is in partnership with Currys, Microsoft and Recycle Your Electricals.
During the week we’ll be teaching children all about the importance of recycling electrical and tech waste correctly, it’s hidden value and how we can potentially reduce it.
As part of the campaign the Pod are launching an exciting new competition called The Hidden Treasure Hunt and our school has the chance of winning £5,000 of Microsoft tech!
Get involved in The Hidden Treasure Hunt!
Everyone is invited to take part in The Hidden Treasure Hunt competition* and to seek out any broken or unwanted electrical appliances / tech at home… Basically anything with a plug, battery or cable! Take these items into your nearest Currys store (17 March-14 April 2022 closing at midnight) to receive a £5 discount voucher and our school will have the chance to win £5,000 of Microsoft tech vouchers!
How to take part:
1. Individuals/ families that donate any items in store during the competition, will receive a £5 voucher* (that can be redeemed when you spend more than £25).
2. On the reward voucher is a QR code/ URL and code to nominate our school via the Currys website by entering your email address, school name and postcode.
3. Each voucher is worth one nomination for our school and one voucher is given per donation, regardless of the number of items donated.
