Parent & Carer Guide | Latest News | News Update
Good morning, everyone.
I hope you had a wonderful half term break last week and enjoyed the sunshine together with friends and family. Please read this post carefully as it contains some important reminders and information for the upcoming term.
SCHOOL PHOTOGRAPHER
The school photographer will be in school on Friday, 2nd July. They will be taking individual child photos and class photos. However, they will not be taking sibling or family photos this year due to Covid-19 restrictions.
HEALTHY SNACKS AND LUNCHES
Please be reminded that all snacks and packed lunches must be nutritionally balanced and healthy.
Water bottles:
Please provide your child with a water bottle filled with water - your child can refill it during the school day. All drinks coming into school must be water.
Snack for Year 2 - Year 6:
If you wish for your child to bring a snack into school to eat during their break time, this must be healthy. A piece of fruit or healthy cereal bar would be perfect.
Milk and Fruit in Year 1, Reception, and Nursery:
Children in Year 1 or below are provided with fruit and children in Nursery and Reception are provided with milk and fruit.
We do monitor what children bring into school and will be contacting you if we feel that they are bringing in foods or drinks which are not appropriate or healthy. Please see our school website for information on healthy lunches and snacks:

Thank you for your support with this.
FACE COVERINGS
Please make sure that you are wearing your face covering during drop-off and collection windows. Please make sure you wear this during your whole time on the school site during these times.
UNIFORM & JEWELLERY
We expect children to be smart and appropriately dressed in school uniform. Please be reminded that we do not allow children to wear jewellery in school for safety reasons. Please make sure all items of clothing are named clearly so we can return items to your child should they be misplaced. Please make sure that your child has a sun hat and you apply sun cream in the morning before school when the weather is hot and sunny. Please read our expectations about uniform and jewellery on the school website:

PUNCTUALITY - CHILDREN ARRIVING LATE
We are noticing a lot of parents arriving at school late. Please remember that I have already extended the arrival time by 5 minutes from normal times in an effort to help parents arrive at school on time whilst the one-way system is in place. Your child needs to be inside the front gates before 9:00am. I will be contacting parents who arrive late each day. It is vital that every child is in class and settled to start learning by 9:00am everyday. Thank you for your support with this.
As always, we aim to provide the very best learning experiences for your child to flourish here at Southwark. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you wish to discuss anything. The best way to do this is by phoning the school office on 0115 9150466 or emailing admin@southwarkprimary.net
You can also Dojo your child's class teacher or assistant head teacher as well. Please understand that staff will make every effort to reply promptly but please respect their privacy during non working hours.
Thank you.
