Picture News & The Big Debate Club

Hello everybody,

Each week your child takes part in a class discussion about what's happening in the world right now.

Next week’s question is: Who is responsible for Antarctica?

The news story with this is scientists have found more flowering plants, moss, and algae in Antarctica in the last 10 years than usually grow in 50 years, and the extent of floating sea ice there has hit record lows.

In years 1, 2 and 3 they will have time to talk about the picture news question in class.

In years 4,5 and 6 they will take part in their big debate question.

This week’s big debate question is: Should politics be kept out of schools?

Before next week why not discuss this with your child?

Enjoy!
