Uniform and Jewellery

Good afternoon, everyone.

SCHOOL UNIFORM
Please can I remind everyone about our expectations for school uniform. I understand that during the school closure many children have grown taller and I appreciate that parents may not have been willing to buy new clothes throughout that period of time. However, now that we have been back in school for a number of weeks, and we are due to remain in school for the rest of the year, it is important that all children wear the correct school uniform.

Wearing our school uniform is important because children feel part of the Southwark team. With everyone wearing the same colours, we build a shared identity and 'togetherness'. We want all of our children to be proud to represent Southwark by wearing our smart school uniform.

If you have any financial worries, please let us know so we can work together to ensure your child is wearing school uniform.

JEWELLERY
No jewellery is allowed in school for safety reasons. This includes earrings. If you want your child to wear earrings, please have these pierced over the summer break to enable the ears to be healed by the time school starts in September. If your child is wearing earrings, please make sure they are taken out before school each day. Wearing plasters is not allowed and school will not provide these for your child.

If you want your child to wear an item of jewellery for religious reasons, you must put this in writing to me, so I can consider the health and safety implications.

Your child's class teachers will remind both your child and yourselves about uniform and jewellery if your child is not following these expectations.

PARENT / CARER MEETINGS
Your child's class teacher has contacted you about organising a date for your meeting over the next two weeks. If you haven't already signed up, please make sure you do this ASAP by contacting them over Class Dojo.

Thanks for your ongoing support. Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any further questions.
