What have we been learning?

We have had an exciting start to the half term with lots of new projects happening.

In EYFS children have been creating poppies ready for armistice day.

Year 1 have had a visit from some amazing animals including a snake and tarantula for their new project 'Paws, Claws and whiskers'.

Year 2 had a tea party for the king as they launch their new topic 'Bright Lights, Big City'.

Year 3 have started their new topic learning all about the Earth in their topic 'Rocks, Relics and Rumbles'. They are looking forward to their Virtual Reality Workshop on Monday.

Year 4 are learning about the Ocean in their new project 'Blue Abyss' and will be visiting Sealife Birmingham in a few weeks time.

Year 5 are going back in time to Ancient Egypt exploring Tutankhamun and Howard Carter's discovery in their project 'Pharaohs'

Year 6 are learning all about The Ancient Maya in their project 'Hola Mexico' and will be exploring Mayan Culture further through their VR experience on Monday.

As well as ALL of this we have had Parliament week this week and SCARF workshops for our pupils in years 456 learning all about making sensible decisions, friendships and the importance of looking after yourself. Tomorrow we will be coming together to as a school for remembrance day.

We've not even been back a week but already we've done so much!
